Final Quiz

The last quiz of the class will be given tomorrow (Wednesday). It will consist of five multiple choice questions (worth a total of 25 points) all on chapter 11 of the text. This will give a good feel for the format and flavor of the final exam.

I will also be collecting the chapter notes for Chapter 11 at the beginning of the hour, with those for Chapter 12 due on Monday, and for Chapter 13 due on Wednesday.

For Tuesday

Class will meet on Tuesday due to the Monday after Easter being declared a travel day. During that class, we will discuss the last chapter of the Google book, as well as the article on Google in the current issue of BusinessWeek (the cover story for the 4/9 issue). If you were not in class, it is your reponsibility to pick up the article and read it before Tuesday. There will be a quiz on both components Tuesday.

Mesothelioma and Assignment Two

1. The discussion of Mesothelioma and other forms of cancer is being moved to another blog.
2. The second assignment for class, as discussed on Monday, is to start at http://www.anderson.edu/falls/faculty.html and critique that page and every faculty page beneath it. What works? What doesn't work? What should be there? If you were designing the faculty pages today - with a 2007 perspective instead of a 1999 perspective - what would you want to see?

Be as detailed as possible; be as complete as possible. The due date is March 30th.

Cancer update

As you can see from the image, the discussion of cancer has changed the link on the blog. There have been numerous studies showing that Mesothelioma - a very rare form of lung cancer caused by asbestos - can be delayed, but it always comes back.

Local Cancer Doctors and Attorneys

For next week, we will be discussing Mesothelioma - it is a rare form of cancer that involves asbestos and the lungs. Many cancer patients report that they worked around asbestos and grinding tools and carcinogens before the onset of their Mesothelioma.
